īmata te rapu wānanga

Marae Connect makes it easy to find upcoming and ongoing wānanga across Aotearoa.
Use our search tools to browse kaupapa that align with your interests, region, or learning journey.

1. use the search bar

Type in keywords such as the topic, marae name, or kaiako.
Example: “Te Reo Māori” or “Rongoā Workshop.”
The directory will instantly show wānanga that match your search.

2. browse by kaupapa (theme)

Each wānanga post includes tags that describe its kaupapa — for example:

  • Te Ao Māori
  • Whakapapa
  • Taiao / Environment
  • Reo Māori

Click on a tag to view all wānanga connected to that theme.

3. search by location

Use the location filter to find wānanga near you.
You can search by region, marae, or city/town.
This helps you connect with kaupapa happening within your rohe.

4. browse by date

Scroll through the calendar or use the date filters to see what’s coming up soon, or what’s running throughout the year.

5. connect & register

Once you find a wānanga that interests you:

  • Click View Details to read more.
  • Follow the contact or registration link.
  • Save it to your calendar or share it with your whānau.

Tip:
The more specific your search (e.g. adding both a tag and region), the easier it is to find exactly what you’re looking for.
